Tease your cheese - our recipe for Honeyed nuts with apricots is a great way to enhance the flavours and textures of your cheese board. Crunchy nuts will add a bite to your soft cheeses, while the acidity of the apricots will balance out some of the richness of creamy cheese. Sweet honey brings everything into harmony.
ingredients
- 25 g dried apricots
- 300 ml nuts, such as walnuts, almonds, pistachios and hazelnuts
- 100 ml water
- 100 ml honey
preparation
Prepared
1. Cook the nuts, apricots and honey in a saucepan over low heat until the honey turns a light golden-brown.
2. Add the water and give it a good stir.
3. Leave to cool before serving
