Tips & Tricks

Tips & Tricks

Garlic bread with cheese is always a good idea, and it is good whether you make it from scratch or buy bread to fill it with garlic and crust it with cheese. If you want to make a garlic cheese bread without an oven, you can use a grill or a pan with a lid.

Serving Suggestion

Serving Suggestion

Instead of making the dough yourself and bake it with garlic and cheese, you can buy a loaf or a baguette, make some cuts in the bread, and drip the garlic oil inside. Add the cheese on top and place the bread in the grill or lidded pan on low to medium heat so the cheese melts and you start to smell the aromas from the garlic.

FAQs

  • How to make garlic bread from scratch?

Making garlic bread from scratch is just as easy as making a regular bread. You make the dough and let it rise as you normally would. The only difference is that you also add a garlic and oil mix and slices of brie or soft cheese on top before baking the bread. The cheese will melt as the bread bakes and the garlic mix will add flavour and texture.

  • How long does it take to bake a garlic bread?

Baking a garlic bread only takes as long as it takes for the dough to rise and the oven to turn it into crusted and delicious garlic bread with cheese on top. It will take about 1 hour for the dough to rise, and then it will only have to be in the oven for 8-10 minutes before it is ready to eat when you have added pesto and fresh basil.

  • How do you make easy garlic bread?

The easy solution to garlic bread is to buy a baguette or a loaf of bread and use that as the base instead of making it from scratch. Make small cuts from the top without cutting all the way through and drip the garlic and oil mix into the cuts. Add the cheese on top or even place it in the cuts as well. Bake in the oven until the cheese has melted.

  • What to serve with garlic bread?

Garlic bread with cheese can be served in several ways and with many different foods. It is ideal for barbequing where its strong, garlicy, and cheesy flavour will go perfectly with grilled meat and vegetables. You can also serve it on a tapas platter, as an appetiser with cold cuts of meat or almond-filled olives, as a savoury snack, or as a side dish for your main course.
