
Apple mustard
Intense, versatile and worthy of attention - our recipe for apple mustard takes charge and never lets go. Sparks of heat from mustard and ground spices blend in perfect unison with sweet nuances of honeyed apples. ingredients
- 2 - 3 apples (preferably sour cooking apples)
- 2 tbsp honey
- 3 tbsp coarse grain mustard
- 3 cloves
- 2 sprigs of thyme
preparation
Preparation1. Cut the apple into quarters and remove the core. Then dice the apples into small pieces.
2. Place the apples in a saucepan along with 50ml of water and boil for about 10 minutes until the apples are slightly mushy. Add the thyme leaves, cloves and honey and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
3. Add the coarse mustard, and bring back to a boil. Then remove from the heat.
4. Pour into a jar and let cool. Enjoy with your favorite cheese and ham.
