PINCHOS WITH CHEDDAR AND HAM

Easy does it – our recipe for Pinchos with Extra Matured Cheddar Cheese and ham pairs simple ingredi-ents with big flavours. It is a feast of nuance and rich textures as toasted baguettes serve to support a garnish of Extra Mature Cheddar Cheese, serrano, herbs and fresh tomatoes. The flavours are full-bodied and sharp, perfect as appetisers, snacks or tapas.

Garlic/Onionish Salty

ingredients

  • 6 slices of Castello® Extra Mature Cheddar Cheese
  • 6 slices of baguette
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 tomato (sliced)
  • 3 slices of serrano ham
  • oregano
  • olive oil
  • salt
  • pepper

preparation

1. Fry the bread slices in a little oil, then rub with garlic.

2. Add slices of tomato and Castello Extra Mature Cheddar cheese on top of bread.

3. Bake the pinchos in the oven at 225 degrees for 8-10 minutes until the cheese is melted.

4. Add slices of ham on each serving.

5. Garnish with herbs, salt and pepper and serve.
