1. Start by cutting your bread into 8 thick pieces (around 1 inch per piece).
2. Mix the mayonnaise with the miso paste and spread onto your pieces of bread. Add these to a hot pan on a medium heat with the side you coated facing down. Now spread the other side with mayonnaise while it's cooking. After 2 minutes, flip the bread and cook for another 2 minutes, remove from the pan and set aside.
3. In the same hot pan add the bacon slices and cook for 1 minute, when they start releasing fat move them to one side.
4. Add the sugar and maple syrup, mix well, allowing the sugar to dissolve completely. Then spread bacon evenly in the pan allowing the maple and sugar syrup to coat all the slices. Cook for 5 more minutes until golden crunchy and sticky, flipping them half way through to evenly cook. Remove from the heat.
5. Take your cooked bread and add 2 Castello Creamy Havarti slices to half of the pieces of bread. Top with the bacon, then another 2 Castello Creamy Havarti slices. Finally, close the sandwiches with the remaining bread.
6. Wipe the cooled pan with a piece of paper towel before placing it back on the stove on a medium/low heat. Add your sandwiches to it and cook to allow the cheese to melt.
7. After 2 minutes, check if the cheese has melted nicely, remove from the pan. Cut in half and drizzle with extra maple syrup. Serve hot, enjoy!
